    Last updated 15 October 2026

    This policy explains what personal data AXTL Hadi Ltd. collects through this website and our published contact details, why we collect it, how we look after it, and the rights you have under Nigerian data protection law.

    01Who we are

    AXTL Hadi Ltd. (“AXTL”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in Nigeria (RC 1553789) that helps clients and partners run commodity trade, from end-to-end shipments to import, export and sales. Our offices are at 19 Okotieboh Street, Ikoyi, Lagos and Adamawa Plaza, Plot 109, Central Area, Abuja. We operate the website at axtl.ng.

    For the purposes of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (“NDPA”), AXTL is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and through the email addresses published on it.

    02What personal data we collect

    We keep data collection to a minimum. The website has no account system and no contact form. We collect:

    • Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your name, organisation, email address, and whatever you choose to tell us about your enquiry.
    • Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages requested and the date and time of the request.

    We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data through this website, and we ask that you do not send it to us unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

    03Cookies and tracking

    This website does not currently use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or tracking pixels. If we add analytics or similar tools in future, we will update this page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

    04How and why we use personal data

    • To respond to your enquiry and to discuss a possible engagement. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business.
    • To manage and carry out engagements, where you become a client or partner. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract.
    • To keep the website secure and working properly, using server logs. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in the security and reliability of our systems.
    • To meet our legal, regulatory and accounting obligations.

    We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that affects you.

    05Who we share it with

    We share personal data only where needed, and only with:

    • Service providers that help us run the website and our email, such as our web hosting and email providers, who act on our instructions.
    • Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, under a duty of confidentiality.
    • Regulators, courts or law enforcement, where we are legally required to.
    • Partners or counterparties on an engagement, but only where it is needed to deliver that work and, where appropriate, with your knowledge.

    06Transfers outside Nigeria

    Our hosting and email providers may store or process data on servers outside Nigeria. Where personal data leaves Nigeria, we take steps so that it receives a level of protection consistent with the NDPA, for example by using providers that offer appropriate contractual and security safeguards.

    07How long we keep it

    We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it is needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, and for longer where we are in a client relationship or the law requires us to keep records. Server logs are kept for a short period set by our hosting provider. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

    08How we protect it

    We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website and access controls on our email and systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    09Your rights

    Under the NDPA you have rights over your personal data. These include the right to:

    • be informed about how your data is used, and to access the data we hold about you;
    • have inaccurate data corrected, and in some cases erased;
    • object to, or ask us to restrict, certain uses of your data;
    • receive your data in a portable format where the law provides for it;
    • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

    To use any of these rights, email info@axtl.ng. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within the time the law requires.

    If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

    10Children

    This website is intended for businesses and institutions. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

    12Changes to this policy

    We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
